FAQ
How is WPM calculated?
Gross WPM is (total keystrokes ÷ 5) ÷ minutes. Net WPM subtracts uncorrected errors per minute from Gross WPM.
What are the timed modes?
Choose 1, 3 or 5 minutes. The timer starts on your first printable keydown, paste is blocked, and the expected-key heatmap records which keys you should have pressed.
What is a good typing speed?
Around 40 WPM is average; 60–80 WPM is fast; professional typists often exceed 90 WPM.
