FAQ

How are posts and panels calculated?

Each open fence section needs one more post than panel bays. A closed perimeter without gates has one post per bay. Gate openings split the fence into more sections, so enter each section length for an exact post count.

What spacing should I use?

Use your panel width — commonly 2.4–3.0 m between posts.

How is wastage applied?

The calculator adds your wastage allowance to panels, posts and rails separately, then rounds each item up to a whole unit for purchase.

Can I print or export a materials list?

Yes — Print list for a clean checklist, or Download CSV for spreadsheets and shopping apps.
